Calling it as you see it should include yourself as well. What would it be like if everyone called things as they saw them? People would be able to make better decisions, to live in peace with themselves, and to become happier. For example, taking a job at the local auto-body shop where all the other employees are rude and inconsiderate would not make me happy. If I called them on their behavior, I could make changes, but it would take time for me to adjust.
Instead, I can decide to change my own way of dealing with people by looking at things from the perspective of the other person. If I continue to do this, then maybe I will learn that my way is not always best and that there are other ways of doing things.
